Who will most enthusiastically embrace the new story of consciousness?

Michael at Olivier Mythodrama, known for their excellent systemic constellation facilitation skills, offers a generous account of an experiential and experimental new process that took place in November 2019 and the inspiring answers it brought forward...

At Olivier Mythodrama we understand the alchemy and power of stories and therefore we imagine that the necessary transformation of human consciousness would benefit from an underpinning story, a blueprint from which we can build new structures.

Indeed, perhaps there has never been a more exciting
and compelling time for the incitement of a new story.

So, back in November we invited WholeWorld-View to join us in an experimental process exploring Unity Consciousness from a number of apparently differing story points.

In working to find optimum ways of inviting as many people as possible to feel they can belong inside a fresh narrative; we are reminded of one of Albert Einstein’s gems of wisdom:

“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.”

By its very nature any collective story must be inclusive and needs to be easily communicated. No matter how fascinating any idea might be, if the average person can’t easily understand it, they will keep it at arm’s length or even dismiss it as being irrelevant.

The more sophisticated our language and the more technical or complicated our concepts become, the more people we will lose along the way. Any one particular expertise has the capacity to divide us.

In a sense, we have all gathered pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle and it’s time for us to bring them back to the table for piecing together.

Art, including drama and poetry, is the wild card that crosses all boundaries.

Our day together explored the story of Unity Consciousness through seven differing approaches or points of view in the image below – Jungian Psychology, Systemic Constellations, Indigenous Wisdom, Holistic Biology; New Science, Core Spiritual Traditions and Gaia Ecology.

Each one of these paths is potentially complex and could offer and repay a depth of dedicated study, but ultimately of course, what connects all these threads is far more important than what divides them.

Together we brought the process alive with inter-active exercises, guided meditations and systemic constellations and even rounded off with a little singing and dancing.

It was a fun day for all involved, and significantly, the constellations clearly indicated that a “refined version” of the 7 Paths story would most enthusiastically be embraced by the youth.

It was generally agreed that although our education system offers us clues from a combination of often contradictory, intelligent view- points, it’s fair to say that universities don’t teach the universe. Ironically, specialist expertise has often contributed to division.

Collectively, we have been coerced, indoctrinated and conditioned with an abundance of disjointed information – fragments of the whole truth.

When confronted with fragments, perhaps it’s our artists who hold a unique capacity to connect and synthesize the pieces. Art, including drama and poetry, is the wild card that crosses all boundaries. We need to strike a balance between the security of a wise and profound understanding and the imaginative freedom needed to optimise future intentions.

Looking forward, we concluded that this “7 paths story” would best be conveyed in an

inter-active theatrical format - felt physically and emotionally – to stimulate imaginative possibilities and offer our young people joy and expansion.

It was acknowledged that all roads lead to Unity – from the Particle to the Wave.

But if our evolutionary shift is essentially from a separation/ material (particle) consciousness to a unity/energetic (wave) consciousness, then to fully experience the story of that shift and its contagious aspect, we will have to employ more senses than just the intellect.

“The essential message of storytelling all over the world is that there are two centres to human nature and that to become re-united with the totality of life it is necessary to make the long and difficult transition from one to the other.” Christopher Booker - “The Seven Basic Plots.”
