Event: 11 September, CANA Conscious Conversations
CANA (Christians Awakening to New Awareness) (EVENT)
CANA Conscious Conversations
Friday 11 September 10.30am-12noon BST
Theme - Transformative Love
Conscious Conversations is an opportunity to meet together online in small groups and share our thoughts and feelings during this pandemic. We use Zoom to form small breakout rooms with 6-8 people in each, giving everyone an opportunity to speak and confidences are respected. We have a short introduction to the theme, followed by the breakout rooms for about 50 minutes, then a group feedback and discussion. Simple!
To register for the Zoom call, please email info@cana.org.uk and the Zoom link will be sent to you a couple of days before the meeting.
What others have said about Conscious Conversations:
“What a lovely, enjoyable boost to meet up with 24-25 others last Sat. Much time, love and thought went into making it such an important thought-through opportunity to meet up and share in the way we were able to.”
“The Conscious Conversations was a super event. It went smoothly, and I thought the forum workedwell for up to 30 people. The length of time in the breakout group was about right. The beginning and the end were also great. I felt really connected to everyone there, and that was much appreciated. Thank you so much, and let’s do it again!”
“That was really good, and very much an answer to what I have felt for some years I want from and with CANA - a forum for a meeting of minds.”
“I am so glad I was able to join you this morning for the meeting and I would very much like to join you again at the next zoom meeting please.”
“The whole thing was interesting, challenging, and reaffirming. It is important to recognise we are not alone in our thinking and exploring - together, we can effect change and that alone is grounds for optimism.”
CANA has its roots in Christianity and takes its name from the first sign in the Gospel of John, the transformation of water into wine. We believe the key message of Jesus is one of personal and community transformation, in common with many other spiritual practices. We are part of a movement towards a more universal spirituality and have been a stimulus on the edges of Christianity for nearly 30 years.
